The majority of the hilly reserve consists of tropical deciduous and mixed forests, in which capuchin and howler monkeys, anteaters, agoutis, sloths, several wild cat species and around 232 bird species live.<\/p>\n
Airplane: \nTambor Airport is only 25 minutes from San Jose by light aircraft. You fly over the beautiful Gulf of Nicoya. Sansa Airlines and Nature Air fly daily between San Jose and Tambor. Private flights can also be booked.<\/p>\n
Automobile: \n60 minutes from San Juan Santamaria Airport to the port city of Puntarenas. You take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera. During the approximately 60-minute crossing through picturesque landscapes and impressive islands in the Gulf of Nicoya, with a bit of luck you can observe whales and dolphins and always lots of birds. On the other hand in Paquera; QPO is only 5 minutes drive away.<\/p>\n
Bus: \nFrom San Jos\u00e9 to Puntarenas there is a bus every 40 minutes from bus terminal Avd 12, Calle 16. In Puntarenas take the ferry to Paquera.<\/p>\n
