Le reste se compose de 2 zones foresti\u00e8res plus petites et de la rive de la rivi\u00e8re Sandal.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>La ferme est desservie par des routes et est accessible des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s. Il est accessible depuis la ville de Nicoya en 30 minutes environ.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, l&#039;entreprise s&#039;est de plus en plus concentr\u00e9e sur la culture et la commercialisation de plantations de teck. Les raisons de cette concentration \u00e9taient les suivantes\u00a0:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s particuli\u00e8res de ce bois<\/div>\n<div>la grande demande de teck<\/div>\n<div>la forte rentabilit\u00e9 des plantations de teck<\/div>\n<div>Propri\u00e9t\u00e9s du teck<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Les arbres de teck sont relativement faciles \u00e0 planter et \u00e0 entretenir si les conditions p\u00e9dologiques et climatiques sont adapt\u00e9es, comme celles qui pr\u00e9valent au Costa Rica. Ils sont tr\u00e8s r\u00e9sistants aux ravageurs, \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse et aux incendies de for\u00eat. A partir de la 5\u00e8me ann\u00e9e, l&#039;effort de maintenance est relativement faible et peu co\u00fbteux.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Le teck est l\u2019un des types de bois dur \u00e0 la croissance la plus rapide. Apr\u00e8s seulement 5 ans, nos exploitations atteignent des diam\u00e8tres de tronc de 10 \u00e0 15 cm et des hauteurs allant jusqu&#039;\u00e0 10 m\u00e8tres. A 20 ans, \u00e2ge id\u00e9al pour la r\u00e9colte, les arbres ont un diam\u00e8tre de 25 \u00e0 35 cm et peuvent atteindre 25 m\u00e8tres de haut.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>En plus de sa belle couleur et de son grain, le teck battu se caract\u00e9rise avant tout par sa forte teneur en huile. Cela r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement l&#039;absorption d&#039;eau et conduit donc \u00e0 une r\u00e9sistance \u00e9lev\u00e9e dans les applications ext\u00e9rieures.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Demande de teck<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>En raison de ses excellentes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s mat\u00e9rielles, le teck issu des plantations est utilis\u00e9 dans divers domaines.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mobilier et terrasses de jardin<\/div>\n<div>Parquet<\/div>\n<div>Des portes<\/div>\n<div>Mobilier d&#039;int\u00e9rieur<\/div>\n<div>construction de maisons<\/div>\n<div>Les march\u00e9s les plus importants pour le teck sont l&#039;Inde, la Chine, l&#039;Indon\u00e9sie, les \u00c9tats-Unis et l&#039;Europe. Mais la demande pour ce bois augmente \u00e9galement au Costa Rica m\u00eame, notamment dans le secteur de la construction.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Activit\u00e9s sur une plantation de teck<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Toutes les plantations de th\u00e9 de l&#039;entreprise sont situ\u00e9es sur d&#039;anciens p\u00e2turages. Les for\u00eats sont strictement prot\u00e9g\u00e9es au Costa Rica et ne peuvent \u00eatre abattues pour des plantations. C&#039;est pourquoi nos exploitations agricoles sont constitu\u00e9es en moyenne de 50 % de terres foresti\u00e8res.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Diff\u00e9rents facteurs sont pris en compte lors de la s\u00e9lection des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s appropri\u00e9es\u00a0:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Conditions climatiques<\/div>\n<div>Qualit\u00e9 du sol<\/div>\n<div>Altitude<\/div>\n<div>topographie<\/div>\n<div>Connexions de transport et d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9<\/div>\n<div>Utilisations suppl\u00e9mentaires possibles, par exemple construction d&#039;une maison de vacances<\/div>\n<div>Lors de la plantation de la ferme au d\u00e9but de la saison des pluies, nous utilisons uniquement des plants issus de semences certifi\u00e9es de Hermanos Cabalceta Aguilar SA. Les arbres sont plant\u00e9s et fertilis\u00e9s \u00e0 intervalles de 3 \u00e0 3,5 m\u00e8tres.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Au cours des trois premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de plantation d\u2019une canette de th\u00e9, un contr\u00f4le constant des mauvaises herbes est extr\u00eamement important. Les plantes grimpantes et autres concurrents du teck sont coup\u00e9s principalement \u00e0 la machette jusqu&#039;\u00e0 ce que le jeune arbre puisse s&#039;affirmer \u00e0 une hauteur d&#039;environ 5 m\u00e8tres. Une t\u00e2che constante au cours des 8 premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de d\u00e9veloppement d&#039;un teck est l&#039;\u00e9branchage, qui garantit que la croissance de l&#039;arbre est concentr\u00e9e sur le tronc. Des \u00e9claircies sont effectu\u00e9es apr\u00e8s environ 5, 9 et 13 ans afin de r\u00e9duire les 800 arbres initialement plant\u00e9s par hectare \u00e0 250 - 350 arbres. Cela signifie que les autres ont plus d\u2019espace pour cro\u00eetre et atteindre des diam\u00e8tres plus grands.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>La p\u00e9riode id\u00e9ale de r\u00e9colte des tecks est d\u2019environ 20 ans, car apr\u00e8s cette p\u00e9riode la masse de bois n\u2019augmente que lentement. Les grumes peuvent \u00eatre soit charg\u00e9es \u00e0 la ferme dans des conteneurs pour l&#039;exportation, soit sci\u00e9es sur place pour former du bois \u00e9quarri destin\u00e9 au march\u00e9 national ou \u00e9tranger.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Rentabilit\u00e9<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Pour calculer la rentabilit\u00e9 d&#039;une plantation de teck, nous supposons 280 tecks par hectare, qui peuvent \u00eatre abattus \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e2ge de 20 ans. D&#039;un diam\u00e8tre moyen de 30 cm et d&#039;une longueur utile de 8 m\u00e8tres, ces arbres produisent environ 158 m3 de bois, dont 111 m3 commercialisables gr\u00e2ce aux chutes 30%. Aux prix actuels du march\u00e9, ces 111 m3 rapportent environ 60 000 US$ $ \u2013 apr\u00e8s d\u00e9duction de tous les frais suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Notre prix de vente pour un hectare de teck d&#039;un an, frais d&#039;entretien compris pour les 7 premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, est en moyenne de 15 000 US$. Les travaux d&#039;entretien ult\u00e9rieurs peuvent \u00eatre couverts par le produit de l&#039;\u00e9claircie.
