I was born in Switzerland in 1961, where I spent many of my professional years in addition to my school years.

Between jobs in sales (Deputy Sales Manager MM and later Publicitas) I always enjoyed traveling. So it was that I wanted to take some time off, fulfilled a dream and traveled lengthways and across South and Central America from 1989 to 1990. Not only did I enjoy the incredible beauty of these countries, it also gave me a good knowledge of the Spanish language.

One of the travel destinations was of course Costa Rica at some point and so it was that I was in San Jose on June 21, 1990 to indulge in my beloved hobby with friends: football! That evening it was time to get excited together in front of the TV because Costa Rica was playing against Sweden. And that's when I met him, the reason for my emigration to Costa Rica: my future wife Lorna!

Yes, and I have been living in this wonderful country since 1996, I am still happy and content about it, I now have a son who was born in 2001 and I have had Costa Rican citizenship since 1999.
