The location of the finca is 9 km from the beautiful beaches on the Pacific Ocean on the Nicoya Peninsula in the mountains near Samara. The travel time to the many beaches (Playa Samara, Playa Carillo, Playa Buena Vista, Playa Barrigona, Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada, Playa Ostional, Playa Camaronal) is between 21 and 60 minutes. The beaches around Samara are fine sandy beaches without seaweed and jellyfish. Some have offshore reefs and have shallow, gradual access, suitable for children, without dangerous currents. Surf schools in Samara quickly teach you how to enjoy surfing. Divers and snorkelers will find interesting destinations here. You can dream away the day on lonely beaches. The finca is located on the edge of a small village with friendly Ticos, which makes life authentic and provides an unbelievable peace and quiet from the sounds of civilization. The songs of the birds, the calls of the howler monkeys and the chirping of the circadians are the backdrop to the sounds, particularly intense in the morning and evening. You can quickly go shopping in Samara or Nicoya. As a tourist destination, Samara offers many opportunities for activities such as ziplining, canoeing, snorkeling, diving, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding, surfing and much more. There are many small hotels and restaurants on the beach and throughout the town.
Nicoya is one of the oldest colonial cities in Costa Rica and has remained authentic without tourism. Everything for living and for building or repairing the house can be bought here. The town of Nosara is the stronghold of yoga institutes and massages, and is also a hotspot with long, big waves for surfers. It is spread out in the jungle. One of the most beautiful mountain roads with changing panoramic views leads directly from the finca. Liberia International Airport is less than 2 hours away by car. Trade in high-quality consumer goods, building materials and service providers have also settled in the area. A lot can be done in one day on a circular tour. Some national parks are nearby and are always worth the trip. Barra Honda National Park, with its famous stalactite caves and dry forests, is one such destination. The residents
and visitors to the finca often go to Palo Verde National Park for a boat tour. In this area where the Rio Tempisque flows into the Gulf of Nicoya (mangrove forests), countless animal species such as water birds, monkeys, crocodiles and huge colorful iguanas can be easily observed. It is further on to other national parks such as Arenal Volcano, Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, Monteverde Rain and Cloud Forest and it is a day trip until you return.
