Parrita: is a small town on the Costanera highway between Jaco and Quepos. The village has experienced a major boom in recent years through reforestation, agriculture and tourism. The next larger town is Parrita with a very good infrastructure (supermarkets, bank, pharmacy, doctors, bakers, schools, restaurants, gas station, hospital, post office, bus central station in all directions, hardware stores, and much more). The nearest beaches, Playa Palo Seco and Bandera, are within easy reach. The sophisticated seaside resort of Jaco (Surf World Cup 2009) can be reached via an asphalted coastal road in 40 km, Quepos with the famous Manuel Antonio National Park is 45 km away. The nearest airport is in Quepos, and there is an airstrip in Parrita.
