  • Proof of a fixed monthly income – Bank statements must show a fixed income of $3,000 per month for a single person, $4,000 monthly income if applying with your family.
  • Proof of health insurance – Must cover you or your family members for your stay in Costa Rica.
  • Proof of payment for the $100 government fee for issuing your permit.
  • A consular or restricted visa – This allows you to enter the country to submit the required documents or complete the residence permit process.
  • Required documents for relatives, if applicable; Issued marriage certificate or proof of registered civil partnership, birth certificate of the child.
  • Power of attorney for the representative in Costa Rica
