Pochote farm with 65 ha at Hojancha

65 hectare farm and reforestation project in the hills of Hojancha. It is close to the many nature reserves and unmanaged Playa Camaronal and the beaches of Nosara, Playa Guiones, Playa Carrara, Playa Samara & Punta Islita less than 45 minutes drive away. The farm is located directly on the Nicoya Peninsula at an altitude of 400 meters. The finca consists of around 40 hectares planted with mature pochote trees aged 20 to 35 years. The farm also qualifies for carbon credits or an eco-reserve under the Reforestation Act of 1983. We planted Pochote because of Costa Rica's indigenous nature. The farm comes with a forestry engineer for a period of 1 year who will directly help with the next planting series or with the return of carbon credits if you decide not to cut the trees.
IT IS CLOSE TO OTHER ECO RESERVES THAT ARE IN THE RAINFOREST ALLIANCE. IT IS ALSO IN THE BLUE ZONE AND IMPROVES APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS INVESTORS.
There are good connections to Nicoya & Samara with shopping, schools & hospitals approximately 30 minutes away. You have access to electricity and telephones, satellite TV, cell phone reception all year round. The area is rural with cowboys driving their cattle on horses. Bullock carts are a common means of transporting timber and the people are still friendly and helpful.
Near Barra Honda National Park is one of the most beautiful caves and dry forests in the world. There are countless animals such as water birds, crocodiles and mangrove forests.
Beautiful beaches on the Pacific Ocean are within reach. In about 45 minutes Samara and Tamarindo are not that much further. Arenal, Costa Rica's active volcano and spas are an hour's drive away.
Nearby beaches: Samara, Coyote, Bejujo, San Miguel, Punta Islita are relatively easy to reach by car. Samara has one of the most beautiful and fine sandy beaches in Costa Rica. Samara is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The beach is very safe and suitable for leisure.
